PayPal is is a giant in the online Payment space. PayPal makes it easy to send, receive and even request for money across borders. It is one of the most popular online payment service globally used by most of the merchants and users. As a user it is easy to use and for seller it provides API’s for seamless integration.

In my personal experience, while making a online purchase I always hesitate to provide credit card details, unless I personally trust the brand. There are always security concerns. However, if their payment method includes PayPal alternative, I choose PayPal and do the purchase straight away.

Eying at the larger market potential, all other biggies including Google, Apple and Amazon are now entered into the online payments market. As the new services alternative to PayPal are emerging, the Golden crown of PayPal is beginning to slip. New services giving consumer a new way to pay, and compare with other services for better and cheaper offerings.

1. Google Wallet

Launched in 2011, Google Wallet allows you to send and request money free and instantly from your smartphone. To send or receive money, download the Android or iPhone version of Google Wallet mobile application for free. You can use a debit card or link your bank account to Google Wallet, to cash out money received from others.

You can also able to send money to your friends or family directly through Gmail or phone number. Google’s 24*7 fraud monitoring system and purchase protection definitely deserves +1 compared to PayPal.

2. Amazon Payments

Amazon Payments is another alternative to PayPal,  from a web giant Amazon. Its payment service suit comes with different packages for different users. Merchants can integrate “Pay with Amazon” feature to simplify the payment process.

Users can pay to any of the Amazon Payment integrated product or service by just login to Amazon account. You do not have to enter the credit card information in the merchant website while making a payment. For making Amazon payments you must have a credit card with U.S. billing address. Like Google Wallet,  Amazon WebPay also allows user to send and receive money.

3. Apple Pay

Apple Pay is yet another convenient, mobile payment and digital wallet service by Apple Inc. It allows users to make fast and secure payments using the iPhone, iPad and AppleWatch devices.

Apple Pay is fast, secure and easy to use. You don’t need to any application or enter any credentials while making a payment. Your payments can be authorised with device Touch ID. While phone is locked, just double-click the Home button to unlock your phone and access Wallet to quickly to authorise your purchases.

4. Payoneer

Payoneer is a one of popular choice for professionals including freelancers and affiliate marketers for making internal payment transfers. Users can receive funds in different ways. Payoneer offers two different ways to use received funds. Through local bank transfer or global transfers or Payoneer reloadable credit card. Also you have the option to transfer amount to another Payoneer user.

Once you register for Payoneer service, the company will send you a prepaid MasterCard to your doorstep. After your card is activated, you can load money into the card from your local bank or other credit cards.

Payoneer works in more than 200 countries and is capable of processing transactions in around 100 currencies. Payoneer is an excellent solution when it comes to processing international transactions despite the fact that service is not available in some countries such as India

5. PayMate

Paymate is a great way for sellers based in Australia and New Zealand to get money from international buyers from many different countries. Sellers from the Australia and New Zealand can use Paymate on their website or on Ebay Australia for a small fee.
