PayPal is is a giant in the online Payment space. PayPal makes it easy to send, receive and even request for money across borders. It is one of the most popular online payment service globally used by most of the merchants and users. As a user it is easy to use and for seller it provides API’s for seamless integration.

In my personal experience, while making a online purchase I always hesitate to provide credit card details, unless I personally trust the brand. There are always security concerns. However, if their payment method includes PayPal alternative, I choose PayPal and do the purchase straight away.

Eying at the larger market potential, all other biggies including Google, Apple and Amazon are now entered into the online payments market. As the new services alternative to PayPal are emerging, the Golden crown of PayPal is beginning to slip.
